Final Finish

Over the past few days, I've spent a few hours sewing to finally finish my lighweight solids quilt. I wanted to be able to cross it off my list before the new year and that means I don't have any major pending projects to start the year. Almost a clean slate!

I love how it turned out although it's not exactly time for a summerweight quilt! We've had more snow in the past couple of weeks than we had all last year! I quilted a quarter inch to either side of the seams to keep things simple.

I used a fun elephant flannel print for the back, not that you can see it that well in this picture. I didn't use any batting so it should be great as a lightweight throw when I'm chilly in the summer with the A/C running. Not that I need to be thinking about that anytime soon!

Happy New Year's Eve!

I think half the fun of quilting is having a handful (or around 14) projects going. Doesn't mean you can't start news ones. Just means you always have something to work with (when you get bored with the knitting, cross-stitch, everything else in life.) :) But, great job starting with a fresh slate! :)
